Trent Alexander-Arnold has sent a clear message about the ambitions at Real Madrid following their impressive 3–0 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking after the dominant win, the defender emphasized that playing for a club like Real Madrid comes with immense expectations and that the team must aim for nothing less than lifting the trophy.
“When there’s so much hype about a game, playing for Real Madrid, there’s no excuses… we have to win,” he said.
Alexander-Arnold continued by making the club’s objective very clear for the rest of the campaign.
“We have to go and win the Champions League.”
The England international also stressed that Real Madrid will approach every opponent with the same mindset as they push toward European glory.
“No matter who’s in front of us. We go for it,” he added in his interview with TNT Sports.
Real Madrid’s commanding win over Manchester City further strengthens their position as one of the favorites to lift the Champions League trophy this season.
